Passionate about creating healthy work environments and job retention, Rosemary began her career as a research assistant on a Health and Safety Executive-funded project evaluating occupational health advice in a primary care setting.
Prior to joining The Work Foundation she worked in job retention and vocational rehabilitation as a Higher Work Psychologist for Jobcentre Plus. As an internal consultant at Jobcentre Plus she delivered coaching and management interventions in leadership, team development and culture change.

Rosemary has a BA (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Durham and a master's degree in Occupational Psychology from the Institute of Work Psychology at the University of Sheffield. Her master's project explored managers’ intentions to implement teleworking as a flexible work option in a local authority and her research interests continue to include flexible working.
She is currently working towards chartership as an occupational psychologist. She is a member of the British Psychological Society, the Division of Occupational Psychology and the BPS Special Group on Coaching.
As part of the Fit for Europe series Rosemary is researching the impact and costs of musculoskeletal disorders in Bulgaria. She is also supporting the evaluation of the Clore Social Leadership Programme and National College Leadership Programme for Directors of Children’s Services.
